Thank you for passing on the information on A Call to Fasting and Prayer for Central Florida!  God surely is up to something special in our days!  I am so glad to see that this call to prayer has been initiated for Central Florida. I sense we need to fully engage from CCCI at Lake Hart in this “Call to Prayer…”  Please count on us to engage everyday of the 30 days… please let me know more about the gatherings and prayer walks so that we can fully engage in this Call to Prayer & Fasting for Central Florida. I sense that as we seek to rebuild our part of the wall at Lake Hart, not only for Central Florida, but for the benefit of CCCI and the greater Body of Christ!  Our part of the wall has a breach in it and we need to repair it (rebuilding our 24/7 Prayer Movement) and be able to stand in greater ways with that Central Florida area in prayer for our community!  So, count on us as we seek to rebuild our part of the wall, we will stand in prayer for Central Florida as well!

A partial focus for IFA partners-in-prayer:

Let us humble ourselves, confess and repent of personal and national sin, and offer thanksgiving for the mercy and protection the Lord continues to show to our leaders and nation.  Pray for national security and for serving "all in harm's way."

· Pray for national repentance, revelation of Christ, spiritual renewal and reconciliation throughout the whole of America, including Native American nations and jurisdictions, our inhabited U.S. territories, and the District of Columbia.

· Pray that God will position our nation for His blessing and as an influence to impact the world for the salvation of multitudes, for righteousness and for justice.

· Pray for God's biblical purposes to be fulfilled during this final term of President Bush's presidency and in the second session of the 110th Congress.

· Pray for our nation's alignment with God's kingdom purposes in the election process of our next president and national, state, and local leaders.

A Call To Prayer and Fasting

December 12, 2007

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

It is with great humility, and sincerity of heart, that I write to ask that you consider the following invitation.  I am writing to you in partnership with Andrew T. Wade, Senior Chaplain, Orlando Police Department, and Maureen Bravo, of the Intercessory Prayer Network of Central Florida.

As you know, there was an unprecedented spike in violent crime in our Central Florida in 2007.  This has resulted in about 70 churches, and various community leaders coming together in prayer for our community.

During the month of January 2008, we would like to take that one step further.  We are asking that you join us in fasting and prayer for peace and safety in our community during the month of January.

Throughout history, our spiritual leaders resorted to prayer and fasting during times of trouble and turmoil.  We believe that we face just such a time right now.  We believe that the grip of crime on our community can only be broken by prayer and fasting

What type of fast are we talking about?  There are many options.

We are challenging some of you to join us in an absolute fast from all food during the month of January 2008.   Some will consider fasting for a day, or maybe a couple of days.  Still others may consider fasting from one meal a day, or one meal a week.

Regardless of the nature of the fast, the goal is to humble ourselves before God and seek his intervention throughout the communities of Central Florida.

There will be prayer walks throughout the month of January in order to support each other, and pray for our community.  We will be in touch with details concerning the prayer walks.

You can email me at mnation@nationlaw.com for updates and further information concerning this fast.  Senior Chaplain Wade can be reached athomaswade@bellsouth.net.  Maureen Bravo can be reached at IPNCF@ruii.org

We are setting up a link on the www.visionorlando.org  website where you can sign up and get more information.

God bless you.

Kindest regards,

Mark A. Nation

A Call to Prayer and Fasting  January 2008

From: Milton Monell

Sent: Tuesday, January 01, 2008 10:23 AM

Greetings GPM Prayer Team,

Happy New Year Greetings to each of you!  As we start today the 40 Days of Fasting & Prayer to “Repair and Rebuild the 24/7 Prayer Movement,” I am hearing about a few calls to Fasting & Prayer as this New Year begins. This one has caught my attention.  It has 5 areas to pray for America listed below.  I sense that the theme of this Call to 40 Days of Prayer & Fasting is “What if they prayed?” - taken from 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NLT), “Then if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.”  I sense that we need to ask those that are committed to this movement for God to call them to prayer!  If we are going to see greater things ahead of us we MUST cry out to Him in these days!

Please see the e-mail below and pray for America, Orlando, and Lake Hart that God will do a cleansing work in our midst.  From the intercessor circles I am hearing a number of things, that 2008 & 2009 are key years for the Body of Christ.  I am sensing that this is where it starts for us as a movement and humbly seeking God’s face in these special days!  I also ask that you add two more things for prayer taken from Ezekiel 37.  Pray for God to breathe life into us again, especially in America and that God would unite the Body in ways we could only dream of in the days ahead!

To summarize what we can be praying for (7 points for 7 days each week – God will show us all what more to pray):

1. Pray that we would humble ourselves (as a movement and for America) and to personally confess and repent from our sins (2 Chronicles 7:14)

2. Pray for national repentance, revelation of Christ, spiritual renewal and reconciliation throughout our movement, the Body of Christ and the whole of America.

3. Pray that God will position our movement, the Body of Christ and our nation for His blessing and as an influence to impact the world for the salvation of the nations, for righteousness and for justice.

4. Pray for God's biblical purposes to be fulfilled during these special days of the harvest (for our movement and our nation).

5. Pray for our movements, the Body of Christ’s and our nation’s alignment with God's kingdom purposes in these unbelievable days.

6. Pray for God to breathe new life through His Holy Spirit into our movement, into the Body of Christ & America.

7. Pray for God to bring about Spirit-filled UNITY in our movement, in the Body of Christ and in America “for such a time as this!”

Pray that God will call us back to seeing our 24/7 Prayer Chain/Movement Repaired and Rebuilt… in preparation for all that God has planned for the future!

If the Lord places anything on your heart during this time, please send it off to me as soon as you can.  Please feel free to pass this along to anyone you think needs to see this – we need to pray!

God’s Richest Blessings upon You,

Subject: Jan. 1-21 Daniel Fast / From Lee Grady

Dear Friends of  The Mordecai Project:

Some of you have e-mailed me to ask for more
information about the 21-day fast that is being organized by the International Center for Spiritual Renewal.

The Awakening America Alliance, a group of leaders from various denominations, has called for this fast beginning January 1, 2008. I am a part of the Awakening America board. Our call to prayer says: “Together we are praying for a spiritual awakening to sweep across America to change hearts and lives and bring millions into the Kingdom of God.”

I encourage you to join thousands of Christians in a time to humble ourselves, pray and seek the Lord for mercy and revival.  It can also be a time to seek the Lord for personal direction, empowerment and grace for the new year, as well as for breakthroughs in your health, ministry or family life.

What is a "Daniel fast"? It is a partial fast based on Daniel 10:2-3. Daniel wrote that he mourned for three weeks, during which he ate "no tasty food, nor did meat or wine enter my mouth." The exact guidelines for this fast are not clear, but most people see it as a time to eat only simple fruits and vegetables.

Here are some simple guidelines for a Daniel fast. The list of foods below is not meant to be a law. The important thing is that you determine the guidelines and then stick to them during the 21 days. Keep in mind that during any type of fast, you may experience fatigue, headaches or irritability because your body begins to expel toxins. Also, you should always consult a doctor before fasting if you have certain medical conditions such as diabetes or if you are on medication.

Feel free to share this information with your church or prayer group.
