“Operation Armor All”  2008

                           preparing to be launched

                       in another high crime area

                                      of the

                             “City Beautiful”

The next phase is scheduled to begin during the last week of January 2008. When the location is announced, congregations, prayer groups and ministries, particularly those in that area of the city, will be called on to unite in prayer with the OPD Chaplains, that the forces of darkness be driven back and ultimately defeated in every arena.

Members of the Intercessory Prayer Network of Central Florida (IPNCF) were privileged to participate in the first phase of “Operation Armor All”, coordinated by Senior Chaplain Andrew Wade and the OPD chaplains. With the support and encouragement of Chief Mike McCoy and under the vigilant eye of (now) Chief of Police Val Demings, we came into His Presence together, and worshipped God over the “City Beautiful”. As we prayed, we trusted that the darkness would soon be displaced and the GLORY of GOD would fill our “City Beautiful” – impacting every man, woman and child living here!

We sincerely urge all believers to come out and join in the next phase of this critical prayer initiative.  Let us lay aside all our agendas, come into submission to the Holy Spirit and mutual submission to one another, and cooperate with God’s grace as we participate in what He is doing at this hour – lest we miss the time of our visitation!

                                                                                     January 15, 2008

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

Let me take this opportunity to thank you for partnering with the Orlando Police Department Chaplain Corps during the wonderfully successful Operation Armor All prayer initiative last fall. The Lord did great and mighty things in the Parramore area, and in the City of Orlando as about 70 churches and community organizations joined their hearts and voices in intercessory prayer, for the safety of our community. That virtual “prayer siege” loosed God’s mighty blessings, and the incidence of violent crime was markedly reduced!

Therefore, we are very excited about what God has in His perfect will for Orlando, and other communities in Central Florida in 2008. That is why I am once again asking you to prayerfully considering joining us in marching on towards total victory against the dark forces of crime, and violence.

A new and Holy Spirit inspired strategic initiative is being launched to focus the “effectual fervent prayers” of the righteous to lift up our embattled communities before the very Throne of Grace. Remember the prophets’ admonition in Jeremiah 29:7, “Pray for the city…, for upon its welfare depends your own.”

I invite you to come together in unity, as the Church universal and triumphant, during this difficult hour to proclaim peace and security, for all our neighborhoods! To inaugurate this “Macedonian Call” a website has been constructed to host this invitation to fast and pray, where you can sign-up and be a part of this historic initiative by pointing your web browser to www.visionorlando.org  The projected start date is the last week of January 2008, so check the website often to learn when the final preparations have been completed.

Let’s all impact our communities for Christ by supporting this regional “Body-Work” for the Kingdom and Glory of God!

Yours in Christ’s Service,

Andrew T. Wade,

Senior Chaplain

Orlando Police Department

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NOTE: Those who desire to take prayer on our city’s behalf to the next level will have the opportunity to do so in January. A Call to Fasting and Prayer has been issued to the Church as a whole, inviting us to enter into a time of fasting and prayer from January 1st through the 31st. As we individually observe the fast, we will also be part of a corporate expression – bringing a “first fruits” offering to the Lord for 2008, a year of “new beginnings” for our city and ourselves. We invite you to join in this fast, in whatever way you are led.  We will use this time of prayer and fasting to prepare ourselves for the next phase of “Operation Armor All” and all it will entail. Plan to participate, and encourage others to do so, too!  Sign up now!
A Call To Prayer and Fasting
December 12, 2007
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
It is with great humility, and sincerity of heart, that I write to ask that you consider the following invitation.  I am writing to you in partnership with Andrew T. Wade, Senior Chaplain, Orlando Police Department, and Maureen Bravo, of the Intercessory Prayer Network of Central Florida.
As you know, there was an unprecedented spike in violent crime in our Central Florida in 2007.  This has resulted in about 70 churches, and various community leaders coming together in prayer for our community.
During the month of January 2008, we would like to take that one step further.  We are asking that you join us in fasting and prayer for peace and safety in our community during the month of January.
Throughout history, our spiritual leaders resorted to prayer and fasting during times of trouble and turmoil.  We believe that we face just such a time right now.  We believe that the grip of crime on our community can only be broken by prayer and fasting
What type of fast are we talking about?  There are many options.
We are challenging some of you to join us in an absolute fast from all food during the month of January 2008.   Some will consider fasting for a day, or maybe a couple of days.  Still others may consider fasting from one meal a day, or one meal a week.
Regardless of the nature of the fast, the goal is to humble ourselves before God and seek his intervention throughout the communities of Central Florida.
There will be prayer walks throughout the month of January in order to support each other, and pray for our community.  We will be in touch with details concerning the prayer walks.
You can email me at mnation@nationlaw.com for updates and further information concerning this fast.  Senior Chaplain Wade can be reached athomaswade@bellsouth.net.  Maureen Bravo can be reached at IPNCF@ruii.org
We are setting up a link on the www.visionorlando.org  website where you can sign up and get more information.
God bless you.
Kindest regards,
Mark A. Nation
